We start by using semantic search to best match the content of your site with the question asked by the customer. A transformer machine learning model converts the words on your pages to vectors (numbers), and complex math is used to locate an answer. The result is then fed to our chatbot, which is powered by GPT-3 from OpenAI. GPT-3 is a large language model (LLM) that is able to give a response like a human would. We also enable short-term memory, simalar to how ChatGPT (also from OpenAI) works, to make it more of a chatbot and less like a search engine.
